 Do you know about Tax free childcare? 

You can get up to £500 every 3 months (£2,000 a year) for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare.

If you get Tax-Free Childcare, the government will pay £2 for every £8 you pay your childcare provider. This is paid via an online childcare account that you set up for your child.

You can get Tax-Free Childcare at the same time as 30 hours free childcare if you’re eligible for both.

 Do you know about 30 hours FREE childcare?

You may be able to get free childcare for your child aged 9 months to 4 years old if you live in England.

The amount of free childcare you can get depends on:
your child’s age and circumstances

•    whether you’re working (employed, self-employed, or a director)

•    your income (and your partner’s income, if you have one)

•    your immigration status

Do you know about 15 hours FREE childcare?

All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 free hours per year. It’s usually taken as 15 hours a week for 38 weeks of the year, but you can choose to take fewer hours over more weeks, for example.

Some 3 to 4-year-olds are eligible for 30 hours free childcare a week. Check if you’re eligible and find out how to apply.

You may have to pay for extra costs like meals, nappies or trips.

You can get it from the term after your child’s 3rd birthday.

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) funding could help your child's early education provider to offer learning experiences and activities which will prepare your child for starting school. Your child could benefit from extra resources and equipment to meet their needs.

Who qualifies?

You - Benefits criteria

Your child will qualify for a free place if you get:

•    Income support

•    Income-based Jobseekers Allowance (JSA)

•    Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

•    The guaranteed part of State Pension Credit

•    Tax Credit and you have an annual household income of under £16,190            before tax
•    Universal credit and you have an annual income of less than £15,400 after tax

•    Support through 'part 6' under the Immigration and Asylum Act
